Last week, New Jersey welcomed its first DACA recipient to the New Jersey Law Bar.  Parthiv Patel, a 27-year-old immigrant from India who came to New Jersey when he was five years old, became the first “DREAMer” to join the cadre of lawyers in the State, sworn in by State Attorney General Grewal.  Patel, who graduated from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law  in 2016 and subsequently passed both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania State Bars.  He was initially denied admission in Pennsylvania because on his immigration status, but with the assistance of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), they were able to file a successful appeal and Patel was ultimately admitted to the Pennsylvania bar last month.

Renowned Attorney Edward Shulman, Esq. of the Elmwood Park, New Jersey Immigration Law Firm extends a hearty and heart-felt congratulations to Patel on his historic accomplishment, which represents a true manifestation of the American Dream.  Shulman also gave kudos to immigration supporter Governor Murphy and to the State of New Jersey for admitting Patel without the immigration-based difficulties that he faced while applying to the Pennsylvania Bar.  Shulman added "Patel is an inspiration to so many DREAMers, but there is an unfortunate political cloud that hovers over Patel and other DACA recipients due to President Trump's mandate to end DACA leaving Patel and others similarly situated vulnerable to immigration action, particularly if Congress cannot imminently reach a deal on DACA."

To make the long story short - I wouldn't be here now writing this review if it wasn't for him. He fought with me and for me as if he was defending himself and not some stranger from a foreign country. I will highly recommend him - if your case has any chance at all he is the one you need.
